 Four New Seascapes
As summer and memories of trips to the
beach fade, Kris extends the season just a moment longer with a
series of seascapes, the first of which is
Gentle
Day. This latest painting was
completed in acrylic on watercolor paper and achieves a wonderful
sense of freshness. Phthalo blue and viridian in Kris's
palette capture the translucency of cresting waves, while repeated
light washes create a refreshing atmospheric effect of sea spray, salt air and distant shafts of light.
Other new seascapes, painted in acrylic on canvas, include
Edge of Dawn, Choppy Sea, and
Coastal Dawn. |
