Wyler Art Studio News: March 2008

During March, Kris completed Manuela, an oil on clayboard, measuring 18" x 24".  She  depicts Manuela, a young Peruvian woman in native costume.  The softness of Manuela's llama wool sweater and her elaborate hat have been painted with exquisite detail.  Kris has used the same finishing technique she's used with her other recent oils, however with Manuela, she has opted for a slightly more matte finish.

If you are passing through Akron-Canton Airport, you will likely encounter Kristine Wyler's painting, Invoking the Spirit.  Second April Galerie of Canton, Ohio has placed several of Kris's paintings here and at other Stark County business venues.  Her work will be on display March through July 2008.   Other paintings include her abstracts, Reaching for the Stars and Divergent Division.

• Watercolor Wizards at Studio M in the Massillon Museum (July 11-August 17, 2008)

• Kristine Wyler solo show at North Canton's Little Art Gallery, August 15 - September 14, 2008
