Wyler Art Studio News: January 2009

Kristine Wyler has donated her painting, Flight, to the Hearts of Hope Public Arts Contest 2009 which benefits Domestic Violence Project Inc.  Flight will be on display during the First Friday festivities, February 4-6, at the Keith Anderson Gallery on Cleveland Avenue North, in Canton, Ohio. 

Paintings by Kristine Wyler will be on display in Art on the Edge through January 2009 at Cyrus Custom Framing and Art Gallery at 2645 Cleveland Avenue, NW, Canton, Ohio 44709. Kris and twenty-seven other artists and students of Wanda Montgomery will be displaying their work there.

Kris Wyler's watercolor, Far Away, has been selected for inclusion in the 31st Annual Exhibition of the Ohio Watercolor Society.  The exhibition will be held November 6th, 2008 through January 11th, 2009, at the Ohio Arts Council’s Riffe Gallery in Columbus, Ohio. Works for this juried show were selected by Alvara Castaget, a native of Uruguay, who has achieved international recognition for his painting, teaching, and judging of watercolor exhibitions. The 67 works in the exhibit were selected for the instant reaction they inspire. The Ohio Arts Council’s Riffe Gallery is located in the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts, 77 S. High St., Columbus, OH. Admission is free. Gallery fall and winter hours are Tue., 10 a.m.- 4 p.m., Wed. through Fri., 10 a.m.- 8 p.m., Sat. noon - 8 p.m. and Sun. noon-4 p.m. The Gallery is closed Monday and state holidays.
