Wyler Art Studio News: August 2009

You can view the fine art of Kristine Wyler in many locations around Ohio this August.

First and foremast is the 32nd Annual Juried Exhibition of the Ohio Watercolor Society, in which Kristine's abstract painting, Through the Eye of the Needle will appear.  The show runs from August 29th to October 4th, 2009, at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center, 301 West Main Street, Troy, Ohio.  Through the Eye of the Needle was one of 74 works selected out of 312 entries for the show.  Chen-Khee Chee was the juror.  The public opening is 2:00 - 5:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29th, 2009.

The Canton Museum of Art is showing three abstracts by Kristine Wyler this month:  Captivation, Turquoise Moods, and Tea House of the August Moon may be seen in the Canton Artist League exhibition area, the Canton Museum of Art and Cultural Center,
1001 Market Ave North, Canton, Ohio.

Kris's work is also on display in the following shows and galleries during August:

  • Malone University's McFadden Gallery, 2600 Cleveland Avenue NW, Canton, Ohio thru August 21st. Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm, Saturday 12:00pm - 6:00pm, Closed Sunday. (330) 471-8100.
  • Mr. Monet's Bridge and Regatta are currently on display in the lobby at the Canton Repository, located at 500 Market Ave. S., Canton, Ohio. For more information, please call (330) 580-8300.
  • Inner Journey to the Garden of Gethsemane will be exhibited at the Canton Artist League show, A Splash of Color, at the Massillon Museum. The show runs from August 22 through September 27, 2009, in Studio M. The exhibition opening is Saturday, August 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. The Massillon Museum is located at 122 Lincoln Way East, Massillon, Ohio.
  • Skywalkers and Break of Dawn will be on view at Gallery 6000 on the Kent State Stark Campus until August 26.
